Direct Spectrophotometry Determination of Vanadium (V) With 3- Hydroxy-3-P-Tolyl-1-P-Chlorophenyltriazene

ABSTRACT:

3-Hydroxy-3-p-tolyl-1-p-chlorophenyltriazene has been reported and used tor spectrophotometry determination of vanadium (v) at 405 nm in the pH range 8.6 to 9.0. The 1:1 (V:R) complex Obey's Beer's law in the range 0.5 to 3.05 ppm of vanadium. Sandell's sensitvity and molar absorptivity were found as 1300 1/mole cm. and 3.88 ng/cm2. Standard deviation () using 10-determination was 0.004 ppm tor 2.54 ppm of vanadium
