Bivalent Metal Chelates of 1-Hydroxy-1-(p-Ethoxy Phenyl) - 3 Alkyl/Aryl Thiourea

ABSTRACT:

The successive and overall stability constant of Cd(ll), Co(II), Zn(ll), Cu(ll), Pb(lI) and Mn(ll) with 1 -hydroxy-1 - (P-ethoxy phenyl) -3-alkyl/ary I thioureas have been determined potentiometrically in 30 % dioxane-water mixture at 0.2N ionic strength at 40oC by BJERCIUMS Methods and completed by IRVING-ROSETTI Method. The stability sequence for 1:2 (Metal : ligand) Complexes is found to be Cu > Ni> Co > Zn > Pb > Cd > Mn.
