ABSTRACT:

The equilibrium constants of 1:1 binary and 1:1:1 ternary complexes of Eriochrome blue black-R with Zn (II), Cd (II) and Pb (II) in presence of ethylenediamme, 2.2,-bipyridyl and 1,10-phenanthroline have been determined pH metrically in 50% (v/v) aq. methanol medium at WC and ionic strength 0.1 M (NaClO4). EBBR acts at a secondary ligand to presence of bipy. and Phen, whereas primary ligand in presence of en.
