Residual Estimation of Dichlorvos in Triticum Vulgare, Linn and Glycine Max Linn

ABSTRACT:

Different doses of dichlorvos of 76% purity viz,, 10 ppm, 100 ppm, and 5000 ppm wmn on some grain* namely Triticum vulgare linn, (wheal) and Glycine max linn, (soyabean) for 8 days. The purpose of the experiment was to determine the residue of the insecticide in Triticum vulgare Linn. and Glycine max Linn. For extraction of residue of dichlorvos, in wheat grain and soyabean , both were finely grounded seperately and dissolved in acetonitrile. These were processed and the concentrated extracts of wheat grain and soyabean samples and the standard active ungredient solutions od dichlorvos were injected for gas - liquid-chromatographic determination of the residues, from the chromatogram. It is found that maximum residue accumulated in grain to sprayed by dose of 1000ppm. Results of our various tests at certain intervals revealed that insecticide had undergone degradation during storage.
