ABSTRACT:

Some new mixed ligand complexes of tin(II) and lead(II) metals with acetyl- salicylic acid having the general formula ML2.HL' where M = Sn(II) or Pb(II) ; L = deprotonated ONP, DNP, TNP have been synthesized by refluxing appropriate reagents in absolute ethanol. The newly synthesized complexes characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, infrared, electronic absorption spectral data and conductivity measurements. The IR spectral data suggest the coordination sites through the oxygen atoms of -OH(phenolic) and -COOH(carboxyl) groups.
