ABSTRACT:

Complex of MM’ (SCN)4 (M=CO2+, Ni2+, M’=Cd2+, Hg2+) with Schiff base derived from 1,2-diaminopropane with benzaldehyde, have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic moment IR, electronic and 1H-NMMR studies. The softness parameters, DTEn1= of the complex have also been calculated to derive the probable structures. The antifungal and antiviral activities have also been investigated . Complexes exhibit good antifungal activity at high concentrations which decreases rapidly at lower concentration and show very low insignificant antiviral activity.
