Synthesis and Characterization of Alpo4-21 Molecular Sieve from a Novel Template Di-Methylamine

ABSTRACT:

A novel template dimethylamine is used for the synthesis of AlPO4-21 molecular sieve. Calcination of AlPO4-21 at 550oC gives AlPO4-25. Indexing the 2q values on TAUPv3.2c program gives both are having orthorhombic symmetry. The unit cell shrink to one fourth on calcination. However this phenomena is not observed in SEM photograph. TG/DTA shows that AlPO4-21 losses about 18% of its weight on calcination. Further the sharp weight loss at 360oC indicate the phase transformation. 27Al and 31P MAS NMR of AlPO4-21 indicate that the presence of three types of aluminium and phosphorous.
