ABSTRACT:

Mesoporous forms of lanthanum silicate have been synthesized from lanthanum nitrate, ethanol, water, ammonia and N-Cetyl-N-N, N-trimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) as template following non-thermal digestion in silicate solution. The surface area, pore volume, average pore diameter were in the range 26-100 m2g-1, 0.15-0.32 cm3g-1 and 121-283
