ABSTRACT:

The kinetics of exchange reactions of Hg2+, Zn2+, and Ca2+ ions on stannic vanadate has been studied at four different temperatures (35, 45, 55 and 65°C). The rate of exchange of Zn(NH3)32+ ions on anhydrous stannic vanadate has been studied at different concentrations in the extern solution, rate of exchange reactions with increases in the external concentration of metal ion in the range 0.01- 0.15M a further increase in the concentration does not affect the second stage of the exchange reaction. At concentration > 0.15M the rate of exchange is governed by particle diffusions mechanism and it is confirmed by Bt vs t plot. The diffusion coefficient, activation energy, entropy activation and free energy of activation are calculated.
