ABSTRACT:

Excess isentropic compressability BES and Excess molar volume VEM for binary liquid mixture-1 : Cyclohexane + Methanol, II : Cyclohexane + Ethanol, III : Cyclohexanone + n-butanol, IV : Cyclohexane + Benzyl alcohol as function of composition have been reported. The isentropic compressabilities of the binary mixtures were determined from the sound velocity and density measurements. Both bES and VEM are found to be negative in all the systems, indicates strong interactions between components.
