ABSTRACT:

The conductance and the intrinsic viscosity of the Acrylic acid-Acryl amide copolymer electrolyte at different degrees of neutralization by LiOH, NaOH, KOH and (Et)4NOH have been calculated. Viscometric and conductometric data have been correlated in terms of fractional charge on the polyion and polymer charge fraction by Wall's method. The effect of progressive neutralization of this copolymer electrolyte has been formed to increase the degree of free counterions, which changes the hydrodynamic volume thereby affecting the conductance of the copolymer electrolyte.
