ABSTRACT:

Commonly available wood of ipomea carnea jacq was analysed for the determination of its ingredients. A comparative study of the proximate chemical analysis, kinetics mechanism of water prehydrolysis the effect of time, temperature and liquid material ratio were studied, so as to obtain optimum process variable where maximum pentosans are removed the comparative study of proximate chemical analysis of Ipomea carnea jacq reveals that the ash content and other solubility parameters are higher than bamboo, kanef, baggase hardwood. The prehydrolysis time was increased from 30 minutes to 120 minutes at 170°C nearly 75% were removed and yield decreased steadily by 75.5%.
