ABSTRACT:

Mass spectral studies of Novel 2-substituted 8-methyl-3,6-dihydroimidazo[4,5-c]pyrazolo[4,3-e]pyridazine have been carried out using EI technique and a unique pattern of fragmentation has been observed. The compounds synthesized are 5-(8-methyl-3,6-dihydroimidazo[4,5-c]pyrazolo[3,4-e]pyridazin-2-yl) pentanoic acid (1), 3-(8-methyl-3,6-dihydroimidazo[4,5-c]pyrazolo[3,4-e]pyridazin-2-yl) propionic acid (2), 8-methyl-2-phenyl-3,6-dihydroimidazo[4,5-c]pyrazolo[3,4-e]pyridazine (3), 8-methyl-2-[2-phenylethanyl]-3,6-dihydroimidazo[4,5-c]pyrazolo[3,4-e]pyridazine (4) and 2-(8-methyl-3,6-dihydroimidazo[4,5-c]pyrazolo[3,4-e]pyridazin-2-yl) benzoic acid (5). The detailed mass spectral analyses of these compounds are being reported here.
