ABSTRACT:

A new, simple, sensitive spectrophotometric method is developed for the estimation of Lamivudine (LMD) and its pharmaceutical formulations. LMD shows absorption maximum at 295 nm in distilled water. Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range of 10-60 μg/ml.The method after its application for the assay of LMD and its formulation was statistically evaluated for accuracy and precision.
