ABSTRACT:

Mixed ligand complexes of Cr(III). Mn(ll), Fe(III) Co(II), Ni(ll) and Cu(ll) have been Synthesized by the reaction of bonzil monohydrazone and diacetyl monoxime with corresponding metal chlorides. The complexes are [Cr(L)(L')CI2], [Mn(L)(HL')CI2],[Fe(L)(L')CI2], {Co(L)(HL')-CI2],[NI(L)(L')CI2], [Cu(L)(L')CI2], where L - benzil monohydrazone and HL'= diacetyl monoxime. The complexes have been characterized on the basis of their elemental analyses, intend and UV-visibie spectroscopy, magnetic moment and conductance measurements. The complexes exhibit antibacterial activities against Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Escherichia coli and Shigella sonnet.
