lodo and bromo vanillin on condensation with different substituted aromatic amines yield Schiff bases. The structures of Schiff bases have been confirmed from elemental analysis and spectral data (IR and 1H NMR). All the Schiff bases have been evaluated for their inhibitory activity against several bacteria
