ABSTRACT:

Eclipta Linn (Family : Asteraceae) is a small genus of herbs distributed in the tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world1, with white flower-heads, 0.25-0.35 inch in diameter, the leaves opposite, sessile, oblong-lanceolate, 1-4 inch long and it is found in particularly cool and moist places1, incorporated in large number of reputed hepatoprotective herbal formulation.
