ABSTRACT:

Naphthalene containing chaicones have been used, to afford 1,3-thiazine derivatives, by reacting with thiourea or diphenyl thiourea in alkaline medium. The yield was found to be 50-70%. Better yield was achieved In DMSO-Sodium methoxide solvent system. These compounds were screened for antifungal and antibacterial activities to various organism.
