ABSTRACT:

Substituted (α-arylimino) ethylbenzene was reacted with DMSO-I2 - H2 SO4 system to give N-substrtuted phenyl benzisoxazoline. All these substituted benzisoxazoline were tested against organism Salmonella typhi! Salmonella paratyphi, Proteus vulgaris, Xanthomonas spp., Fusantm sotanu and Botrytis cinerea. It is found that compound containing bromo and nitro group together are more active than simple benzisoxazoline.

KEYWORDS:

Ethylbenzene; Xanthomonas; benzisoxazoline Botrytis
