ABSTRACT:

Macrocycyclic ligands L,-L4 were synthesised by the high dilution method. L1 and L3 extracted efficiently only Cu2+ ion with high selectives in the competitive extraction containing CO2+, Ni2+, Zn2+ ions. Further L3 extracted quantitively Cu2+ ion even from acidic aqueous solution. The transport ability of L1 and L2 through liquid membrane were examined for several transitional metal ions.
