ABSTRACT:

A pilot study was earned out on plating solutions/effluents which are to be discarded carried out with respect to industrial effluent .The study deals with the process for chemical treatment of effluents generated from electroplating, phosphating and other related chemical treatment* to remove or reduce the highly toxic cyanides, acids, alkalies, hexavalent chromium etc. present then so that the treated affluents conform to the permissible limits for disposal into inland surface water.
