ABSTRACT:

An attempt was made to assess the pollution load with respect to the concentration of certain heavy metals in the water of the Halali reservoir (Vidisha, M.P.). Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer was used for spectral analysis. The results showed higher concentration of Iron and Manganese, whereas. Cobalt, Nickel, Copper and Chromium were found to have insignificant concentrations as compared to limits prescribed by Beureau of Indian Standards.
