Metal hydrazinesulfinate hydrazinates, M(N2H3SOO)2(N2H4)2 where M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn and Cd have been prepared by the reaction of respective solid metal hydrazinesulfinate and hydrazine hydrate and characterized by chemical analysis, magnetic moment measurements and electronic and infrared spectral studies. These complexes undergo thermal decomposition in two steps to give respective metal sulfates as the final residue. The X-ray powder diffraction patterns show isomorphism among these complexes.
