ABSTRACT:

A thorough specrophotometric measurement has been carried out for aqueous solution of eight isomers of the N-methylated 2,2'-; 2,3',4' and 4,4-bipyridylium salts in 0.1,0 .3 and 0.5M NaCIO4 at 25, 35 and 45°C. Their spectral behaviour are discussed and compared with these of the non- methylated isomers.
