Synthesis of Some New Pyrazolines and Pyrimidines and Their Antimicrobial Activity

Chalcones of 1, 4-dihydor 2, 6-dimethyl-4- (substituted phenyl)-3, 5-diacetyl pyridines have been synthesized by condensation with aldehydes. These chalcones on treatment with phenyl hydrazine hydrochloride and thiourea give pyrazoline and pyramidin thiones respectively. The synthesized compounds have been tested for their antimicrobial activity. Some of these compounds showed good activity.
