ABSTRACT:

Anion exchange equilibrium distribution coefficients with Dowex S.B.R anion exchanger are presented for Xylenol Orange (XO), Eriochrome Black T (EBT) and Rhodamine B (RhB) in aqueous solutions. The affinity order of the three aromatic compounds is: XO > EBT > RhB which agreed with the results of a previous research on the behavior of the same dyes on Amberlite IRA-416 anion exchanger. The effect of the dyes concentrations on its sorption on Dowex S.B.R were studied and discussed.
