Critical Limit of Plasmon Excitations in Metals

An expression for the critical wave-vector of Plasmon excitations in metals has been derived. Due consideration is given to Fermi energy which separates the bound and unbound levels. Experimental values of characteristic electron energy loss values have been used at the place of plasmon energies in the expression obtained which includes all possible effective electron-electron interactions.
