ABSTRACT:

Mixed ligand complexes of alkaline earth metal chelates of thiosalicylic acid (ThSalA), o-amino thiophenol (OATP) and 8-mercapto quinoline (8HSQ) with 1,10-phenanthroline as a second ligand, having general formula, ML2.nL', where M = Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba, L' = 1,10-phenanthroline, L = deprotonated ThSalA, OATP and 8HSQ and n = 1 have been synthesised and characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity measurement and infrared spectral studies.
