ABSTRACT:

Complexes of alkali metals with 2-Hydroxy-1, 4-naphthaquinone (Lawsone), 3-Hydroxy-2-methyl-1,4-naphthaquinone (Thiocol) and 5-Hydroxy-1,4-naphthaquinone (Juglone) have been prepared and characterised on the basis of elemental analysis, conductance measurements and infrared spectroscopy. Probable structures have also been assigned.
