Synthesis and Spectral Studies on Co(Ii), Ni(Ii) and Cu(Ii) Complexes of 12-Membered Macrocyclic Ligands

Complexes of Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) with two 12-membered tetradentate macrocyclic ligands have been prepared. They have been characterised by elemental analyses, magnetic measurements, infrared and electronic spectral studies. The complexes were found to have composition MLCl2. On the basis of spectral and magnetic studies six coordinated geometry may be assigned for these complexes.
