ABSTRACT:

Mixed ligand complexes of the type ML. nHL', where M = Li, Na or K; n=1 or 2, HL=acetylacetone, benzoylacetone, ethylacetoacetate, ethylmalonate, salicylaldehyde, o-hydroxy acetophenone and o-hydroxy napthaldehyde and L=deprotonated 5-hydroxy-1, 4-naphthaquinone (juglone) have been synthesised and characterised on the basis of elemental analysis, conductance measurements and infrared spectroscopy.
