ABSTRACT:

Here the reaction of 8- (1-hydroxy ethyl) 3,4,5,6,7,8 hexahydro-[1H]-quinolin –2-one-1 with benzaldehyde is reported, which offers the preparation of 1-methyl-5-oxo-3-phenyl-[3H][5H][8H]-6,7,9,10,10a, 1-hexahydropyrido [3,2,1-i,j], 1,3-benzoxazine 2. Compound is characterized by its spectral data analysis.
