Larvicidal Principles from Goniothalamus Velutinus(Annonacea)

Two alkaloids ouregidione (1) and aristolactum B(ll) (2) together with the styrylpyrones goniothalenol (3) and goniothalamin (4) and the acetogenin annonacin (5) have been isolated as the larvicidal components from the stem bark of Gonothalamus velutinus. The structures of these compounds were establishes by spectral data. (1), (3) and (5) have not been reported to be present in this plant and the 13C and 2-D n.m.r. data for (1) have not been previously reported.
