ABSTRACT:

The effect of concentration of medium constituents (NH₄ NO₃ , KH₂ PO₄ and MgSO₄) on citric acid production by submerged fermentation has been studied. It has been observed that MgSO and KH₂ PO₄ in the concentration of 0.25 g/L each and NH₄ NO₃ in the concentration of 1.5 g/L is optimum for citric add production by Aspergillus niger.
