ABSTRACT:

The study of oxidation of Leucine with N-bromoacetamide showed first order kintetics in oxidant and fractional order in the substrate. Acetarmide inhibition has been noted in acid and neutral media. No appreciable influence of acetamide was noted in basic media. The oxidation is highly susceptible to pH of medium. Change of ionic strength has no influence on the rate constant
