Synthesis of Monoazo Disperse Dyes from 2-Amino 4-Methoxy Benzothiazole and their Application on Polyester Fibre

ABSTRACT:

The properties of azo dyes based on benzothiazole nucleus have been evaluated by applying them on polyester fibres. The absorption, % exhaustion, Rf value, shade and the dyeing behaviours such as light, wash and rubbing fastness were assessed and these properties shows fair to excellent results. The dyes were further confirmed by means of elemental analysis, IR and PMR spectra.
