ABSTRACT:

A series of 8-{aryloxy)-16-H-dinaphtho(2,1 -d:l'2'-g) 1,3,2, dioxaphosphocin 8- sulfides has been synthesized from the condensation of bis(2-hydroxy-1 naphtbyl) methane with aryl phosphorothioicdichlorides in the presence of triethylamine in dry benzene H NMR spectral analyses of the title compounds showed geminal coupling between the bridged methylene pfotons.
