ABSTRACT:

Cycloaddition of arylidene N1-[2-thiazolyl]-sulfanilamides[IV)f N1-[4,6-dimethyl -2-pyrimidinyl]- sulfanilamides [V] and N1 -[ 1 -phenyI pyrazolyl]-sulfanilamides [IV] with 2-mercapto sebacic acid was attempted. It has been found that substituted 4-thiazolidinones can be obtained from the reaction of schiff bases with 2-mercapto sebacic acid in dry benzene.
