Abstract:

The most general quadratic valence force field obtained from kinetic constant method has used in the present work to obtain all the molecular constants such as compliance constants, mean amplitudes of vibration. Coriolis coupling constants and centrifugal distortion constants of methylethynyl mercury (II) (CH3HgCCH and CD3HgCCD) molecules. The character of the bond is briefly discussed.
