Abstract:

DDT (50mg/kg body wt.) was administrated orally daily for 5 days to the rats. The adenosine triphosphatase (ATP-ase) activity was detected after 0,24,48,72,96 and 120 hours. Daily exposure of 50mg/kg DDT produced a 24.21% , 40.00% , 56.84%, 72.63% and 82.10% decrease after 24,48,72,96 and 120 hours. A significant decrease was found after 48,72,96 and 120 hrs.
