Abstract:
The ligand (HL) derived from aceto-acetoanilide and hyroxdylamine hydrochloride dissolved in 10% aqueous sodium acetate solution form very stable unimeric complexes with Cr(ll), Mn(ll) and Fe(ll) having general formula M(ML)2X2 where M=Cr(ll), Mn(ll) and Fe(ll), HL= 3-hydroxyimino-l-N-phenyl-amino Butane-1 -one and X = CI, Brand CH3COO.The ligand behaves as neutral bidentate one. All the complexes are characterised through elemental analysis, magnetic moment, molar conductance, molecular weight determination, electronic and infra red spectral data. Octahedral geometry have been assigned to all complexes. The low molar conductance value in nitromethane of all complexes show non-electrolytic nature of complexes.
Keywords:Hyroxdylamine; hydrochloride; unimeric non-electrolytic
