Abstract:
Tri-p fluorophenyl phosphoramidate hydrolyses in acid range (0.1 to 7.0 M-HCI) at 40 (± 0.5)oC and exhibits a very strongly basic nature, due to both, the lack of a rate maximum in the acid-rate profile, as well as general acid catalysis. The presence of three p-F groups in the aryl matrices and the solvent, DMSO, are both considered to be responsible for this behaviour. Kinatically, the hydrolysis proceeds via the conjugate acid species which operates solely (Ionic strength studies) in the entire acid range examined. The triamidate wa syntheized by phosphorylation of p-fluoroaniline, with morpholine as catalyst.
