Abstract

Some new mined ligand phosphine and arsine complexes of organoruthenium (II) with substituted 1, 2, 4-tetrazoles have been synthesized and characterized using elemental analysis, conductivity, magnetic, electronic, IR, ¹H NMR and 31p NMR spectral measurements. IR spectral data provide un-ambiguous evidence for coordination through nitrogen (Ru-N) and sulphur (Ru-S) of the ligand and acts as mononegative bidentate. 31p NMR spectra of complexes confirmed the magnetically equivalent phosphorous atoms suggesting two pf3groups trans to each other in octahedral structure.
