Abstract
Molecular Constants and Barrier Heights of Hexahalogenated Disilanes
L. K. Kaliyaperumal
Abstract:
Wilson's FG matrix has been used to carry out the normal coordinate analysis of hexahalogenatad disilanes and the method of kinetic constants has been employed to determine all the independent force constants for these molecules. Using these force constants the molecular constants such as mean amplitudes of vibration, coriolis coupling constants and the centrifugal distortion constant of these molecules are computed. A tentative suggestion for the hindered internal rotation in terms of valence force constants has been made here for the first time and the barrier heights in these molecules have also been suggested.
