Ficus Glomerata Roxb. Root and Stem Bark: as Anthelmintic Agents

Abstract:

The present paper deals with the study of anthelmintic activity against isolated compound of Ficus glomerata Roxb (N.O. Moracea). The earthworm (pheritima posthuma), tapeworm (Taenia solium) were used and the anthelmintic activity of isolated compound MS-I and MS-II of Ficus glomerata Roxb plant part stem-bark and root respectively. The compound MS-II show significant anthelmintic activity in comparison MS-I and so may potentially be explored as anthelmintic agents.
