Abstract:

b-(Carbethoxymethyl)aminonapthalene, (1) b-(Thiosemicarbozido carbonylmethyl) aminonapthalene, (2) b-(2'-Amino-1',3',4'-thiadiazole-5'-yl) methylaminonapthaline (3) b-[2'-(Benzylideneamino-1',3',4'-thiadiazole-5'-yl methyl] aminonapthalenes (4a-4j), b’-[2'-(2-Substitutedaryl-4""-oxo-thiazolidin-3'-yl-)-1',3',4’thiadiazol-5'-ylmethyl]amino napthalenes(5a-5j), and b-[2'-(3""-Chloro-2""-substitutedaryl-4""-oxo-azetidin-1""-yl)-1',3',4’thiadiazole-5'-ylmethyl]amino- napthalenes. (6a-6j) have been synthasized in present study. The structure of these newly synthasized compounds were confirmed by their analytical and spectral data. These compounds were also evaluated for their anti-inflammatory, analgesic and ulcerogenic activities. The compound (6e) was found to exhibit potent anti-inflammatory activity as compared to the standard drugs phenylutazone and naproxen."
