ABSTRACT:

The corrosion behaviour of some commerical reinforcing steels has been investigated. Tafel plot and linear polarization techniques were used to determine the corrosion rates in brackish water at constant temperatures between 20 and 50°C. The results indicate that the corrosion rate increases with temperature and obeys the anbenius law. Furthermore, the corrosion process it found to be anodically controlled.
