ABSTRACT:

Preparation and evaluation of some fire proofing1 agents for cotton textiles. First the sulpho-nylchlorides formed from the sulphochlorination of Egyptian Kerosene were converted into some surface active sulphonamides via reaction with hexamethylene tetramine, these sulphonamides were complexed with antimony trichloride. Second a series of aliphatic, aromatic and heterocylcic amines were complexed with antimony trichloride. The products of both were evaluated as fire proofing agents and the add-on % after-glaw and fire retardant index were determined. In the second addition of rubber improves their fire proofing activity.
