Infrared Spectra of 3 Bromo-5,6 Benzochromanone and its Normal Coordinate Analysis

ABSTRACT:

The infrared and Fourier far infrared spectra of synthesized compound 3 -bromo -5, 6 benzochromanone has been recorded on a Perkin Elmer IR 781 double beam grating spectrophotometer and Poly tech FIR 30 spectrophotometer in the range 600-4000 cm-1 and 100-600 cm-1 respectively. The observed frequencies have been assigned to various modes of vibrations on the basis normal coordinate calculations.
