ABSTRACT:Thirty four groundwater samples were collected from different sites of Rampura-Mathania block of Jodhpur district of western Rajasthan. The results of analysis of these samples revealed that 50%, 5.88%, 11.76% and 32.36% of them are sodium chloride type, sodium bicarbonate type, calcium bicarbonate type and mixed type respectively. The area is free from sulphate deposits. The percentage of dominant cations and anions and their relationship with TDS and geological formations were studied. Close relation between salinity and type of water was observed. As the TDS increases, gradual changes from bicarbonate type to chloride type of water were observed.
KEYWORDS:Cationic and Anionic Combination; Ground Water of Rampura-Mathania
